How my adventure started

Some of my earliest memories are of road trips in our camper—nights spent wrapped in blankets on the roof, counting shooting stars with my brother. I can still feel the crisp morning air on the Oregon coast, hear the distant crash of waves, and remember the thrill of spotting whales while island hopping in Nova Scotia.

As I grew older, my adventures took me farther—strolling down the Champs-Élysées at Christmas, swimming in the hidden grottos of the Amalfi Coast, and falling in love with places that felt like stepping into a dream. But it wasn’t just the travel itself that captivated me; it was the stories these places held. That’s what led me to photography. Capturing the beauty of landscapes, light, and the raw emotion of a fleeting moment became more than just a passion—it became my purpose.

How my adventure started

My earliest memories are of road trips in our camper—spending nights wrapped in blankets on the roof, counting shooting stars with my brother. I can still feel the chill of foggy mornings on the Oregon coast and the excitement of whale watching while island hopping in Nova Scotia.

As I got older, my adventures shifted to strolling down the Champs-Élysées at Christmas and swimming in the magical grottos of the Amalfi Coast. Traveling became my greatest passion, and it grew even deeper once I began capturing the beauty of landscapes through photography. It’s this love for exploration and storytelling that I bring to every journey.

Why Iceland Feels Like Home
There’s no place in the world that captures my heart quite like Iceland. Every visit feels like stepping into another world—one where nature still feels untouched, where waterfalls crash down like something out of a fairytale, and where the sky itself dances with the Northern Lights. I’ve zip-lined over waterfalls, watched whales so close I could almost reach out to them, and stood in the stillness of an ice cave, completely in awe. It’s the kind of magic I never get tired of capturing.

The Story Behind the Lens
I’ve always had a creative heart, which led me to pursue a BFA in Graphic Design. I loved the world of design—the way colors, typography, and composition could tell a story. But no matter how much I enjoyed it, photography kept calling me back. There was something about capturing real moments, raw emotion, and the ever-changing beauty of light that I couldn’t ignore.

Life Beyond the Camera
When I’m not behind the lens, you can usually find me unwinding in a cabin in the woods—where the only decisions to make are which trail to explore next. I’m a firm believer that the best adventures don’t always require a plane ticket; sometimes, they’re found in the quiet moments, away from the noise.

And if you’re ever wondering what might surprise people about me? I ran the Chicago Marathon! One of my biggest accomplishments.

The Heart Behind What I Do
One of my most treasured memories is swimming alongside sea turtles in Saint Thomas with Scott and our daughters. I captured that moment on video, and to this day, it remains one of my most priceless keepsakes. That’s why I do what I do—because moments like these deserve to be preserved, so they can be relived again and again.

Let’s create something unforgettable together.

If you’re looking for someone to capture your story, your adventure, your once-in-a-lifetime moment—I’d be honored to be that person.

What’s the story behind starting a photography and videography team with your husband?
I’ve always had a passion for video—so much so that I almost majored in video production at SCAD. During an elopement, I tried to juggle both photography and videography but found myself rushing the video to get back to photography. While I captured an incredible photo, I completely missed the moment on video.

After hearing me vent, Scott, who had been flying drones with me for years, started exploring videography. It felt like a natural next step for him, and now, we get to work together as a team. It’s a dream come true to offer our clients both photography and video while traveling and creating memories together.

Do you have a bucket list destination for a future shoot?
The Faroe Islands

Why is Iceland so special to you? Every time I visit Iceland, it feels like stepping into a dream—a place so surreal it’s like Heaven on Earth or another planet entirely. I’ve had a whale swim so close I could have reached out to touch it. I’ve danced beneath breathtaking auroras, zip-lined over waterfalls, and walked along black sand beaches bathed in the golden glow of the midnight sun.

The magic of being in an ice cave is something I could talk about for hours. Each adventure feels like a scene from a dream come to life, and it’s why Iceland holds such a special place in my heart.

What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend when you’re not shooting? In a cabin in the woods, where the only sounds are the whispers of nature, life slows down. The biggest choice you face is deciding which trail to wander, letting the journey lead the way.

What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you? I ran the Chicago Marathon! One of my biggest accomplishments.

What’s a favorite memory from your own adventures with Scott? .One of my most treasured memories is of a family vacation with my daughters and Scott, swimming alongside sea turtles in the crystal-clear waters of Saint Thomas. I captured it on video, and it’s a priceless keepsake that takes me back to that magical moment every time I watch it.

This memory is a reminder of why I’m so passionate about photography and videography—to help others preserve the heart of their adventures and relive those extraordinary moments for years to come.
